A beautiful saturday.
Ashton is doing well. Pre-eating weight (with all tubes, diaper etc) =1990 grams, post feeding = 1996 , a gain of6 Grams or an estimated 1/2 of a normal feeding.
Bilirubin to 8 ish, down from 11.1 yesterday. Phototherapy suspended hopefully forever.
He is very awake this morning and was happy to see his new friends Katie and Dave. I really think he is smiling at us even though 'they' say babies don't smile.... I will put some new pics on the website later.

Great news!! I have always believed that babies smile in response to the stimuli of their parents -- the recognition factor is in place much earlier than "they" acknowledge, imnsho! Nana
